When I was a little girl, tea parties were special occasions with my dolls or my friends. Simple homemade affairs with my mismatched toy dishes that I look back on with memories of fun and friendship.
As I entered my teen years and through marriage and beginning motherhood, I was blessed to be part of a community of believers where grown women still had tea parties. “Can you come over for tea?” was a common call. And there, together for tea, we laughed and cried and shared our joys, our frustrations, and a wealth of practical ideas and solutions to all the little ins and outs of daily life.
I hope this blog will be like those tea times for you. A place where you can come and find a comfortable spot to sit down and sip that cup of tea with me. Here I will be sharing how living for Christ works out in my every day life, helpful household ideas, sewing inspirations, thoughts on family and friendship, ways to save money, and of course, our favorite recipes.
You won’t find expensive projects, complicated home decor, or professional photographs. If you want those, you will have to look somewhere else.
Neither will you find a perfect woman. I am real. Imperfect. I am a homeschooling, adoptive mother and things can get pretty messy sometimes, but I believe that Jesus can transform our ordinary every day lives into something beautiful.
I hope this time of tea together will give you refreshment and inspiration for YOUR journey. May the God of love, fill your heart and your family with His peace.
